Kathryn Wandell

Kathryn Wandell is pursuing her MLIS at Wayne State University and has a B.A. from Hope College in English/communications, an A.A. from Lansing Community College in graphic design, and has completed a summer book publishing program. She is interested in public libraries and reference librarianship because she wants to work with people of all ages and backgrounds. She likes that each person is a living story and believes that diversity is at an individual level. She wants to encourage others to be themselves, realize their strengths, and pursue their dreams, hobbies, interests. As someone who looks young for her age, she is reminded to treat everyone with respect. She wants to love God and others well, like 1 Corinthians 13:13 says, “Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love – but the greatest of these is love.” She looks forward to helping make libraries more welcoming and accessible to all.
