Donna Sherrill

Donna Sherrill has been working for the Detroit Public Library since 2003, in various occupations such as Bookmobile/Driver Clerk, Technology Clerk, Literacy Clerk, Circulation Clerk and Administrative Receptionist/Clerk. She received her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Lewis College of Business in May 1998 and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at Wayne State University in December 2010. As a Project ALFA Fellow, Donna is looking forward to enhancing her knowledge.

Her professional career outside of academia includes working with the State of Michigan (Food Stamp program), Wayne County Friends of the Court (Child Support agency), and with the Detroit Urban League (Child and Adult Care food program). She also has a wide range of experience in the area of disability and aging adults such as Social Security Disability Advocates (Attorney’s office), Detroit Reads (Literacy program), and Cyber Seniors Project (Seniors program).
